Process Engineer (Tire manufacturer)

Introduction:

Location: Rayong

Responsibilities:

  • Establish, define, and configure process parameters to ensure compliance with product specifications.
  • Strive for enhancements of continuous improvement in process efficiency and stability.
  • Align equipment, tooling, and process requirements to achieve product specifications.
  • Ensure productivity by implementing processes that meet output specifications efficiently.
  • Oversee the release and implementation of processes according to specifications and create standard operating procedures.
  • Develop process-related documentation, including performance reports, requirements, guidelines, work instructions, and process specifications.
  • Conduct studies to monitor and document process stability.
  • Implement corrective actions to minimize waste, rework, and improve stability, efficiency, and yield.
  • Maintain process knowledge, records, reports, surveys, and validation.
  • Maintain production quality by developing and managing processes that meet quality objectives.
  • Support product industrialization according to plant and central release procedures and requirements.
  • Conduct process risk assessments and implement continuous improvements.
  • Approve final processes based on efficiency, stability, and waste criteria.
  • Conduct training and development program and create new training documents, work instructions, materials and procedures as needed.
  • Mentor, coach, and resolve issues within the team as necessary.
  • Execute structured problem-solving, including documentation of lessons learned and their application.
  • Generate KPI reports, issue and enforce procedures work instructions, and ensuring implementation and control.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures are implemented
  • Promote ESH (Environmental, Safety, and Health) awareness, provide regular training, and communicate ESH responsibilities and duties.
  • Share expertise through internal and global networks
  • Respond immediately to unsafe or polluting hazards and initiate preventive measures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering field.
  • A minimum of 5 years in an automotive tire industry is a plus
  • Proven track record of project management or process improvement related to mixing, extrusion, building, and curing in the automotive industry.
  • Possess management skills to supervise a team for at least 2 years
  • Experience with problem-solving methodologies and a solid understanding of FMEA, 5 Why, and Control Plan.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Experience managing a team of 10-20 people or more
  • Adaptability and ability to thrive in a high-pressure manufacturing environment.
