Our client is looking for business analysts to join their team:
Review, analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs. Define
scope and objectives, document requirements, and formulate solutions to meet
overall business strategies.
- Determine
business objectives by studying product functions; gathering information;
evaluating output requirements and formats.
- Construct
workflow charts and diagrams; studying product capabilities; writing
specifications.
- Improve
product by studying current practices; designing modifications.
- Recommend
controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.
- Define
project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and
elements; facilitating estimation of project budget and validate resource
requirements.
- Monitor
project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing
progress reports; recommending actions.
- Prepare
technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and
trends.
- Evaluate
and interpret research data and develop integrated functional analyses and
projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making.
- Perform
daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of current products using
metrics and reports.
- Suggest
changes to senior management using analytics to support recommendations.
Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes.
- Create
informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant
product trends and opportunities for improvement.
- The
successful functional analyst candidate will be involved in all phases of
the Product Life Cycle. For Projects about to start they will ensure that:

- Requirements
are compiled and presented back to the business;
- Business
Cases are complete;
- As
required User Journeys are documented;
- Developed
User Stories are of a high quality;
- Acceptance
Criteria are present; and a
- Requirement
Traceability Matrix (RTM) is completed.
- Periodically
the FA will complete different types of process mapping including but not
limited to Business Model Canvas, Flow Charts / Process flows, Value
Mapping and Impact Analysis. They may also be asked to complete change and
learning logs.
- In order to
build successful products, they should be ready to deliver Scheduled
Reports, Ad hoc reports and Data Analysis relating to mobile application
and web performance.
- They
should understand the difference between Waterfall and Agile development
approaches and should be able to move between these different types of
delivery.
- Some
mixture of the following Project Management skills is required:
- Kick off
meeting and Wrap Ups / Postmortems;
- Effective
Brainstorming;
- ScrumMaster
skills;
- Effective
management of Standups;
- Effective
presentation of Requirements, Business Cases, User Journeys, User Stories,
Process Maps, etc. to Senior Management and other Business Stakeholders
for signoff;
- Gap
Analysis;
- Effective
estimation of work schedules;
- Tracking
and Publishing of Metrics against agreed targets;
- Managing
projects through the company collaboration project -and task- management
tool, Wrike;
- Defect
Triaging;
- Version
Control; and
Release Management.
