Our recruitment team prides itself on its ability to provide excellent service to our clients in China.

We were recently recognised by one of our long-standing partners TATA Consultancy Services for our strategic cooperation in China and we are delighted to have received an award as their Best Recruitment Partner in 2021.

When making the award, TATA’s HR team commended Gemini’s team for their “high-quality customer service, efficient candidate searching capabilities and business insight on the local market and their reliability as a key partner for TATA’s China operations.”

We’d also like to pay tribute to the great work of our hard-working recruitment teams across China who provide a premium service to our clients.

China updates Visa Policy for entry into China

Foreigners who wish to enter China for business, work, study or family reunions have faced incredible difficulty over the last two years due to the suspension and restriction of entry into China due to Covid-19.

In early June, the China government announced some easing of the restrictions and requirements to entry, notably for those wishing to enter China for work purposes and their families, who will no longer require a PU Letter approval as part of their application process.

The waiving of the PU Letter requirement for foreigners who apply for a China work permit/Z-Visa applies to the following people:

  • Foreigners who have been approved to work in China and obtain a valid Notification Letter of Foreigner’s Work Permit.
  • Foreign dependents whose spouse has been approved to work in China (including those who are already in the country), and their children under the age of 18 years.

It is important to note that while the government in China has made the announcement, it is advised that all applicants check their local Chinese Consulate/Embassy in your location to ensure they have been advised of the updated policy.

For reference, Consulates in the USA, the UK and Singapore have updated their local sites to reflect this policy.
