Introduction:

Our Client, SEA is a leading provider of integrated commercial services in Singapore whose core business interests are in the areas of commercial cleaning, conservancy cleaning, street cleansing, external facade cleaning, pest control, car park management, RVAC solutions and waste management to reputed clients like Changi Airport, Singapore and planning expansion in South East Asia (SEA). As part of expanding its presence in the SEA region it has plans to develop a portfolio of industrial, biomedical and municipal waste management projects, waste to energy projects, as well as other recycling, resource recovery and circular economy projects, including recycling of e-waste, Construction & Demolition waste, End of Life Vehicles , Plastics etc. This Organization is also keen to establish and grow a sustainability consultancy offering in the SEA region.

Responsibilities:

The Chief Executive Officer will work closely with the Board of Directors, serving as Director of corporate operations and as the main link between the different divisions within the company. The ideal candidate for this position has previous corporate management experience and a proven track record for effective team management and results-driven leadership in the Environmental Sector.  The right candidate must be ready to build and model a great company culture, provide inspired leadership to our executive team, establish a great working relationship with the board of directors and set a course for company strategy in line with the expansion plans as stated above in the SEA region.


Strategic
  • Direct the company in keeping with the vision outlined for the company by the Board of Directors
  • Partner with high-level officers to grow the company, strengthen it and ensure its sustainability
  • Strong Exposure in Business Development
  • Develop high quality business strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives
  • Work with the executive board to determine values and mission, and plan for short- and long-term goals
  • Build trust relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for important shareholders
  • Develop the company’s culture and overall company vision

Operational
  • Oversee the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.
  • Act as the primary spokesperson for the company
  • Lead and motivate subordinates to advance employee engagement develop a high performing managerial team
  • Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission
  • Make high-quality investing decisions to advance the business and increase profits
  • Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry of the company
  • Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company

Key Relationships & Interactions:
  • Coordinating with stakeholders across SEA, Regional Offices and Corporate office.
  • Liaison with various industry bodies, government departments, regulatory authorities and statutory bodies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • Proven experience as CEO or a senior leadership position with a min of 15 years senior management experience
  • Expertise in developing profitable strategies, business development and implementing vision
  • Strong understanding of business and business models
  • Familiarity with diverse business functions such as sales & marketing, business development, finance and people management.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices across SEA region
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Analytical abilities, problem-solving skills and tolerance to ambiguity
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among executives, partners and the workforce.
  • Proven negotiation skills and excellent business acumen
  • Ability to inspire confidence and create trust
