Introduction:

The position would primarily support deugro’s sales structure in Malaysia to ensure profitable growth of our business, customer satisfaction, and customer relations and retention. The Assistant Project Manager will support all areas of business development, tender management & sales with focus on technical write-ups, bid preparation, answering RFI’s related to global frame agreements and projects. This position will work closely together with the Head of Business Development and Branch Manager for regional and local Projects throughout the stages of the tendering process focussing on conceptual planning and preparation of Execution Plans, Logistics Studies, and Concepts etc. during the sales phase as well as facilitate a smooth transfer into project operations.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

•        Represent deugro internally and externally

•        Sales and Operations Support within assigned area of responsibility

•        Establish and maintain list of target accounts (supported by Business Development Manager)

•        Support appointments/meetings with potential Project, OG&C and Shippers

•        Prepare visiting reports/minutes of meeting and follow-up on action items, as required

•        Ensure bid / tender and spot RFQ support for other deugro stations

•        Growth of business in line with assigned KPI’s

•        Legal and commercial responsibility for all deugro’s business conducted in areas assigned, and in line with Corporate guidelines

•        Ensure operational excellence in all areas

•        Sub-Contractor Management

•        Revenue and cost control, including supervisory control of Accounts Payable

•        Monitor receivables (days outstanding) for own controlled business and regularly take measures to meet set targets (KPI’s)

•        Responsible to provide efficient, accurate, complete, timely and effective proposal responses to our clients as well operational support in line with the above

•        Support in assigning and distributing work orders and rate requests to overseas offices and support functions during tendering process

•        Ensure cooperation with local Management on local and international projects

•        Management of suppliers, sub-contractors and third-party cargo handlers

•        Represent deugro at sales calls, bid clarification meetings, negotiations, kick-off meetings and industry events

•        Support pricing/operations department on developing commercial proposals
