Introduction:

Our client is a well-known logistics provider

Responsibilities:

  • Control and manage about Safety , Health and Environmental management
  • Support the development of HSE policies and programs
  • Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics
  • Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures
  • Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation
  • Initiate and organize HSE training awareness of new employees, employees and executives
  • Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)
  • Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
  • Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
  • Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management
  • Safety activities, patrol and safety monitoring
  • Control Safety equipment Inventory
  • Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures and provide for their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company Directives.
  • Provides for motivation and familiarization of all Company personnel respecting the importance of complying with Company system procedures and all Safety equipment provided.
  • Participates to HAZOP meetings prior to procurement and installation activities.
  • Performs Risk Assessment.
  • Provides Safety support and advice, including supervision on preparation of plans and procedures for initial contract start up activities.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor Degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent with additional professional qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or another similar field.
  • 5 or above years’ experience in Health, Safety and Environment
  • Industrial plant, of which 2-3 years should be in a supervisory capacity.
  • Working knowledge in Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems, Environmental Discharges, Incident Command System, Incident Investigation.
  • Good knowledge of English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to work with, provide advice to, train, and promote excellence in Health and Safety all staff
  • Experience of maintaining or reaching externally audited management standards such as ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
  • Experience of working with senior management
  • The ability to organize and prioritize workload
  • A flexible approach to working hours
