Sr. Accounting Profession

Introduction:

Leads and provides direction to accounting and finance supervisors, accountants and other indirect staff to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of accounting activities. Make sure all the Finance and Accounting activities in SSC refined product plants to comply with US and local PRC GAAP. Execute financial controls as first line of defense at plant level. Play as a key stakeholder to support business management and FP&A team for decision support activities. Will have 1 year relocation program in 东莞麻涌plant in the 1st year, then will back to Shanghai HQ.

Responsibilities:

60% Financial Operations * Applies an extensive understanding of principles and techniques, evaluate and analyze financial statements. Keeps pace with changing relevant regulations and standards. * Executes on standard accounting policies and procedures of one or more of the following processes: RTR, OTSC, PTP. * Performs a sub-set of the day-to-day accounting operations required to support the business * Utilizing comprehensive and thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices, creates standard financial statements with accuracy and in compliance with established requirements and policies. * Partners with Finance peers and cross-functional managers to determine key financial information to include in the financial and management reporting package. * Work closely with CBS Finance, Tax, Treasury, CFR, Decision Support, Financial Risk Management, internal and external auditors depending on assignment. Identify opportunities to leverage resource. * Aligns with internal control systems that provide effective and efficient operations reliable financial reporting and compliance with laws, regulations and corporate policies. * Ensure the compliances with all financial regulatory compliances both locally and required for US GAAP in the assigned area. * Ensure controls and compliance measures are in place for assigned reported financial information. * Manage engagements with internal and external auditors, and ensures issues are resolved. * Partner with other accounting and finance leads to ensure alignment of processes and strategies. * Work with other functions and business managers to ensure financial regulatory compliance. * Demonstrate strong financial management skills to gather financial data, evaluate and analyze financial statements. Keeps pace with changing relevant regulations, standards, and business factors that may impact financial performance. Review existing reports to optimize, standardize, and define the new reports which will measure business performance. * Support MIDS team to optimize and standardize management reporting across the plants. 25% Deploy financial internal control framework, assesses/identify/report risk, monitor and improve Financial Controls for assigned area. * Be in line with the control framework implemented. * In coordination with Control COE, perform risk assessments to identify risk areas and develop monitoring plans for assigned area. * Identify opportunities for control efficiencies in processes. * Ensure financial controls are consistently monitored; CRP preparation and audits are executed according to pre-defined schedules if assigned. * Partner with assigned areas involved to ensure compliance for new business transactions or new controls identified to be implemented. 10% Seek for Process Optimization * In line with accounting and finance strategy & approach which aligns with the strategy of the Region/Sub-region/country and finance job family. * Participates in and provides input to new set-up and changes in existing financial applications to optimize effectiveness. *Actively collaborates in driving process optimization, leveraging of shared services and improving the efficiency of finance operations. 5% Support to develop the team * Play a key role in the team to influence other team members to initiate change and drive results. * Holds self and support relative junior team members to deliver results, and driving the continuous improvement of finance activities; collaborating across business, functions, and enterprises. * Support to provide coaching and/or training to team for execution of various financial accounting and control processes. * Influence other team members using change management solutions and methods to reinforce the direction and vision through the transformation and migration.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting • Minimum of 8 years accounting or finance experience, min. 3 years with Big 4 audit firm and have experience on Manufacturing Audit. • Strong Accounting experience with very good technical knowledge in US and Local GAAP • Strong Understanding of CFR reporting and compliances. • Strong Understanding of China Tax and basic understanding of US Sub Part F Tax • Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization. • Demonstrated Ability to communicate, influence and build trust across multiple stakeholder groups • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal. • English Communication • Strong problem solving and analytical skills • Ability to partner and engage with centers of expertise (like Tax, CFR, Audit, HR, IT) influence and build trust across multiple stakeholder groups • Demonstrated understand and use technology to improve process and control
