Human Resources Specialist

Introduction:

Our client is a leading mobile games company home to many top-grossing, award-winning franchises This position will be based in in Shanghai. The individual will report to the General Manager for China, working closely with them on a day to day basis. This role will also work with People & Operations Lead for APAC, based in Japan and also functional leadership both in the Global Rewards & People Operations Team, as well as the People Business Partner Team, both located in Headquarters.

Responsibilities:

What you will do:

This role will be instrumental in constructing and evolving our team, culture, and operations in China. As we grow our business and organization, the role will support our efforts to insure we are creating a great place to work where individuals can thrive, all people are respected, and collaboration flourishes. The role is broad, encompassing recruiting, talent management, and office operations:
  • Source talent and manage the recruitment process for the region, leveraging LinkedIn and recruitment firms, and working closely with Asia leadership and the Global Talent Team ·
  • Manage all aspects of the on boarding process, from employment agreements to social benefits, rules of engagement explanations, work environment provisioning, staff training etc. for all team members
  • Lead the people evaluation process, i.e. the semi-annual Level Up Check In (LUCI), to insure we communicate proactively with all Scopeleans & support their career growth
  • Support the semi-annual compensation review process (salary, bonus, equity, promotions)
  • Insure we are always looking to enhance all facets of our work environments across the region, from facilities to tools (hardware, software), from team building activities/social events, to learning opportunities (both internal & external)
  • Support other day to day operations as we scale, helping to manage our time (meetings, (meetings, travel, reporting) and our external partners (banks/insurance/accounting/law firms)

Requirements:

What you will need:
  • +2 years of experience in HR Operations (total rewards, including compensation and benefits)
  • +2 years of experience in recruiting/hiring · A good understanding of Chinese labor laws
  • Proven ability to work cross border, both with internal stake holders and regional partners
  • Passion for supporting and empowering an organization that values the individual
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to present to and influence senior leadership;
  • you must be able to drive action and impact in a complex and fast-paced environment
  • Intellectual curiosity, creative problem-solving acumen, and drive
  • Native level in Mandarin plus professional level in English
  • A high level of integrity, candor, transparency & humility
  • Respect for others and a collaborative spirit
