HR Generalist (6 month Contract)

Introduction:

· 6 Months Contract, Located in Pudong area, New Jinqiao Road · Act as HR China contact window for Group HR; · Provide Generalist HR support to the Business Line in China at an operational level

Responsibilities:

· Implements Group HR strategy, including:

a.Recruitment and selection

b.Annual workforce planning

c.Succession planning, identification of top talent and career development planning.

d.Annual merit review process

e.Bonus scheme and objective setting

f.Employer branding

g.Organization design.

i.Employee exit process.

· Prepares the monthly Payroll to ensure payments are accurate and timely.

· Supports the performance appraisal process in China, ensuring the quality of the process is maintained at a high standard and appraisals are completed on time.

·Supports the development of training and development programmes within Business Line to meet the needs of the organisation.

·Delivers training events to support skills gaps.

·Work with managers and Occupational Health to support employees with health / absence issues and facilitate appropriate resolutions.

·Produces HR KPI metrics for the Business Line and takes corrective actions when needed

·Maintain HR policies and procedures in line with legislative changes and best practice. Draws up standard work to support consistent and accurate implementation. ·Participates in HR projects as required both in China and internationally

· The job holder will be required to perform other tasks which are not included in this job specification but are within the capabilities of the individual and, where necessary, training will be given.

Requirements:

·Ability to coach / train managers on employee relations issues

·Ability to facilitate employee engagement forums / workshops / improvement events

·Working knowledge of online recruitment / social media resources for recruitment purposes

·Experience of designing and implementing HR Intranet an advantage.

·Good time management / ability to prioritize

· Logical , methodical approach with an ability to maintain sense of humor

Person Specification-Knowledge

·Bachelor degree / certificate in HR Practice preferred

·Previous experience of working within a semi – skilled manufacturing / logistics environment

·Basic understanding of Lean/ continuous improvement principles

·Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (excel, powerpoint, word)

· Previous experience of using HR systems ie Oracle, Globalview, Peoplesoft
