General Sales Manager

Introduction:

A privately owned Freight Forwarding company is looking to bring onboard a General Sales Manager . Most shipments are focused in China and South East Asia to Europe and Latin America by sea and by air.

Responsibilities:


  • Ability to achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
  • Must be able to design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
  • The candidate must able to build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Ability to be a point of contact and to liaise and co-ordinate with internal and external customers, so as to ensure a seamless communication of service requirements
  • Ability to prepare quotations (both ad hoc and RFQ) to customers and communicate with related parties to get the best rate & win the business
  • The candidate would be able to conduct regular customer meetings and offer recommendations for service improvement as well as new service
  • The candidate has to co-ordinate  and prepare regular customer management reporting 
  • Team managing experience is a must.

Requirements:


  • The ideal candidate has to have 5 to 8 years or above related sales experience
  • Said candidate has to be mature, able to work independently, resourceful and self-driven with a strong sense of commitment;
  • The candidate has the ability to work across functionally and build partnership relationships internally and externally.
  • The candidate must be  strong numerically, must have analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify upselling opportunities.
  • The candidate must have great interpersonal skills, leadership skills and  the ability to work under pressure.
  • The candidate must be fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese
